Come see our second Live Panel in the Staying In with Fae Crate series with Mackenzi Lee (Author of the Montague Siblings Series), M.K. England (Author of The Disasters & Spellhacker) & Ryan La Sala (Author of Reverie). We have sexy pterodactyls, chats on gender roles and femininity, and a lot of laughs.

MEET THE AUTHORS

Mackenzi Lee

Mackenzi Lee holds a BA in history and an MFA in writing for children and young adults from Simmons College. She is the New York Times bestselling author of the historical fantasy novels THIS MONSTROUS THING, THE GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO VICE AND VIRTUE, which won a 2018 Stonewall Honor Award and the New England Book Award, and its sequel, THE LADY'S GUIDE TO PETTICOATS AND PIRACY, which debuted at #3 on the New York Times bestseller list. She is also the author of BYGONE BADASS BROADS (Abrams, 2018), a collection of short biographies of amazing women from history you probably don't know about but definitely should, based on her popular twitter series of the same name. When not writing, she works as an independent bookseller, drinks too much Diet Coke, and romps with her St. Bernard, Queenie.

Ryan La Sala

Ryan La Sala is a fantasy writer rooted in the northeast United States. His first book, REVERIE, is a YA fantasy about what happens when your dreams chase you back, and yes it has a drag queen sorceress as the villain. His second book is forthcoming with Sourcebooks Fire in late 2020. It’s about arts & crafts.

M.K. England

M.K. England is an author and YA librarian living who grew up on the Space Coast of Florida and now calls rural Virginia home. When they're not writing or librarianing, MK can be found drowning in fandom, going to conventions, rolling dice at the gaming table, climbing on things in the woods, or feeding their video game addiction. They love Star Wars with a desperate, heedless passion. It’s best if you never speak of Sherlock Holmes in their presence. You’ll regret it.Their debut YA space opera, THE DISASTERS, came out in December 2018 from HarperTeen. Their upcoming YA science fantasy heist novel, SPELLHACKER, will be out on 1/21/2020. We highly recommend checking out https://www.indiebound.org where you can find and support a local Indie Bookstore to purchase your copies from. Small Businesses are being hit the hardest currently, and our world wouldn't be the same without our Indie Bookstores.

'Staying in with Fae Crate' was a weekly live panel event for 2020 in response to Covid-19. With so many amazing conventions and book tours having been canceled, we wanted to bring the authors directly to you! We brought in tons of authors to discuss some amazing summer releases and had a blast!
